Spring/Fall Yard Clean Up

The separation between day and night diminishes. It becomes hard to remember what day of the week it is. Suddenly, Mom & Dad look outside and realize that entire seasons have passed…because the backyard shows it! Thankfully, we can help.

Spring and Fall Yard clean-ups are one of our best group projects for those people who want to volunteer as a family, neighborhood, Church Small Group, organization, etc. Each team is paired with a single family to review exactly what the family hopes to receive and to make sure it stays within the parameters of the group’s skills and budget. Each clean-up project is a 1-2 day event scheduled at the mutual convenience of each team and homeowner. Most groups raise or collect a small amount to purchase flowers in the spring or repair flagstone in the fall and similar tasks. Often the family will contribute material needs as well, if they are so-able.

The ultimate goal is for teams to get outside, work together, and accomplish something important and for families to be proud to return to their home after long days in the clinic or extended hospital stays! Of course, a nicely maintained yard can also go far in keeping neighbors friendly as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Spring and Fall Yard Clean Up are only available to families who own their own home.

Seasonal yard services are limited based on the number and location of volunteer teams, so place your requests early!
