The Wonderdog Walk for Normal Moments is a fundraising event to celebrate the role our wonderful pets play in our health and well-being. We are thrilled to welcome both old and new friends, both human & canine, for our 3rd Annual Wonderdog Walk. Proceeds provide ongoing supportive services to parents with critically ill/medically complex children.
WHEN: Sunday, April 30th. Registration / Check in from 10 AM – 11 AM
LOCATION: Ned Brown Meadow (GPS Location) in Busse Woods, Elk Grove Village
COST: $15 per walker – adult human or canine. Each adult is welcome to bring up to 2 kids.
SPECIAL GUESTS: Agility Junkies & Author Lynn Stacy-Smith (see details below)
All dogs registered by April 10th will receive a Wonderdog Cape and there will be treats for everyone. Please click “Continue Shopping” to return to this page to add additional adults, children, and dogs.
Click here to pay for an Adult walker and/or your own Wonder Dog (please count your dog as an Adult Walker – so 1 human + 1 dog= 2 Adult Walkers)
Click here to get a printable Wonderdog registration form and liability waiver if you’d prefer not to register online. Registration forms can be mailed with a check to Normal Moments, 1318 Baylor Ct, Naperville, IL 60565 or faxed to 630.637.0230 and we will call you for a credit card payment.
Click here to get a printable liability waiver only. This is great if you’ve registered online and just need the liability waiver.
The event takes place at the Ned Brown Meadow in Busse Woods. This is accessed from the Golf Road entrance to the park. If you enter Ned Brown Meadow into your GPS, you will find us. If you enter Busse Woods, you’ll be sent to the wrong park entrance. Once you enter off Golf Road, stay to your left. We’ll be checking people in at the 2nd shelter on your left. Watch for our sign. Maps of the location and route will be available soon. Please note that our route is not part of the paved paths. We meander through meadows and along forest edges. Please wear appropriate footwear! All dogs must remain on leash for the duration of the event. A liability waiver is available above or can be signed at the event. The choice to allow your dog to interact with other dogs is a personal one and all attendees are asked to recognize and respect this, being courteous to other dog owners.
We’re very excited to have Agility Junkies (www.AgilityJunkies.com) join us this year! Since 1998, they’ve been educating dog owners about agility. Some of the Junkies are serious competitors, demonstrating their skills at agility trials. Others practice agility simply for the fun of it, or as a supplement to other disciplines such as obedience and conformation. Don’t miss them!
Please join us in welcoming author and dog-blogger, Lynn Stacy-Smith (www.lovelaughwoof.com). She’ll be selling & signing her book, Love, Laugh, Woof, at the walk, with all proceeds being donated back to Normal Moments!
